The Board of Directors, which directs and guides GS1 Hong Kong initiatives, comprises of senior executives representing the trading, manufacturing, retailing and wholesaling, logistics and services sectors. GS1 Hong Kong also maintains strong ties with global and local industry leaders, inviting representatives of leading Hong Kong businesses and organisations to sit in different advisory boards and working committees.
Advisory BoardKey advisory boards currently include the ECR Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Electronic Commerce Advisory Board, the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) Advisory Board, EPC Partners Advisory Board and Supply-Chain Council - Greater China Board. Different working committees are found to direct trade and industry-specific projects, including those for the fast moving consumer goods, healthcare and apparel sectors.

Efficient Consumer Response Hong Kong (ECR HK) ECR Hong Kong (formerly the Hong Kong Supply Chain Management Advisory Board) champions SCM development in the consumer goods industry since it was established in 1997. It acts as both a catalyst and a facilitator in industry-wide programs devised to achieve efficient consumer responses. As a founding member of the ECR Asia Council, ECR Hong Kong also supports other Asian ECR/SCM bodies, including ECR China, in a wide range of SCM initiatives.
Hong Kong Electronic Commerce Advisory Board (ECAB) Oversees and assists the GS1 Hong Kong in promoting electronic commerce and educating the business community; helps to establish an electronic commerce infrastructure; and provides implementation services which use GS1 standards.
SMEs Advisory Board (SMEAB) As SCM and e-commerce began to have greater effect on global trade, the GS1 Hong Kong set up the SMEAB in 1999 to promote the winning strategies to SMEs. The Advisory Board is established to help the critical yet fragile part of the business community in overcoming obstacles in adopting e-SCM technologies, thus improving their operational efficiencies and increasing their competitive edges in the global marketplace. |
