We always explore new ways of pushing supply chain performance beyond limits through development and adoption of new management concepts and enabling standards and technologies. However, turning them into industry-wide practices has no short-cut. It demands forward-thinking practitioners to conduct trials in their companies and generate valuable inputs from pilot projects to further the development. Only this will make an industry standardization initiative successful and the generated deliverables fit for use by industries.
In this regard, we have been dedicated to establishing industry forums and projects to help different industries better embrace modern supply chain management (SCM) practices to create new niche in the global marketplace. These forums and projects all rest on the primary focus of developing and adopting a common standard and business language for supply chain operation.
Through these forums and projects, we help align directions of global and local standard development in the following ways:
- Channel new SCM practices endorsed by global users;
- Bridge gaps in views between global players and local industries;
- Line up collaborations among stakeholders to spearhead pilot projects;
- Assist industries in applying the practices in their businesses;
- Consolidate views and concerns from specific sectors;
- Channel feedback from local industries to relevant global standard bodies to enhance global development work; and
- Coordinate different local and international initiatives and programs to foster connections to further expand the reach of local players.
