Improving Product Trustworthiness through Product Authentication Seminar

With frequent product recalls and increasing cases of counterfeit goods, the public is becoming desperate for accurate and easily available information on product quality. The increased visibility of information through providing online data access for both consumers and the business community will lead to greater consumers' confidence and stronger brands protection, and help uplift the credibility of Hong Kong's brands and reinforces Hong Kong's image as the shopping paradise with quality goods in the long run. Funded by HKSAR Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), a project ‘Improving Product Trustworthiness through Product Authentication' is initiated by GS1 Hong Kong with the support of four pilot companies, aiming to demonstrate the business values of brands protection for Hong Kong brand owners as well as to make enhanced product information and content visible to the public.
