Senior Sales & Marketing Officer, Industry Engagement (Retail & Food)

Job Description
Reports to Manager, Industry Engagement, this position will initially lead and execute business plans and marketing programs to drive the adoption of GS1 standards, solutions and services for Retail & Food sectors, training programs, achieving the organization’s overall objectives in brand awareness, industry influence and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement business & marketing plans, programs, initiatives and go-to-market campaigns to achieve corporate objectives in terms of market development, industry awareness, lead generation and revenue growth for Retail & Food sectors, as well as for the Training Academy.
  • Able to analyze precisely the key potential markets and formulate the most effective strategies and related promotional plans to outreach and develop the respective targeted segments.
  • Ensure the effective planning, promotion and execution of industry events, seminars & workshops to enhance industry awareness, cultivate industry stakeholder relationships, drive leads & business development.  Develop detailed execution plans, checklists and timeline etc., monitor and work with various teams and external agencies to execute all deliverables according to the timeline and with quality.
  • Drive the development of marketing collaterals, presentations, digital content for related industries, solutions and services.
  • Support in building good relations with industry and community partners, business and trade associations as well as regulatory bodies to promote GS1 standards, solutions, industry initiatives and programs.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • General administration and implementation of secretariat works and any ad-hoc projects assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements

  • University graduate in Marketing / Business Administration or related discipline
  • 3-5+ years of relevant working experiences in business development & marketing or related fields
  • Experience in retail and food & beverage sectors is preferable
  • Strong in business development and capable of working under pressure and tight timeline
  • Highly motivated individual with creative thinking skills
  • Strong project management, analytical, organization and problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Candidate with less experience can be considered as Sales & Marketing Officer

Senior Officer / Officer, Event Marketing

Job Role:
Ensure the professional and effective planning, management and delivery of events of different scales so as to achieve the organization’s overall objectives in brand building, leads generation and revenue growth. This position reports to Manager, Event Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure the effective planning, promotion and execution of GS1HK anchor events to reinforce brand awareness, cultivate customer/partner relationship and drive sales leads, including to develop the detailed execution checklist and timeline, regular work in progress report and co-ordinate with the co-workers
  • Ensure the effective planning, promotion and execution of business unit-led events or programs for appropriate participants / delegates recruitment, ultimately achieving leads generation and revenue growth
  • Implement database acquisition, segmentation and maintenance to ensure marketing effectiveness.  Responsible for database acquisition, monitor database updating and maintenance.
  • Provide supervision to the event agencies, overseeing the onsite logistics of the events and post event promotional actions, analysis, report to reinforce GS1HK’s branding, thought leadership and revenue generation
  • Support the divisional budget management and control, and payment settlement process

 

Requirements

  • University graduate in Marketing / Event Management or related discipline
  • With minimum 3-4 years of working experience in Event Marketing, strong in driving event execution and process with business oriented event management experience
  • Strong in integrated marketing and capable to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
  • Highly motivated individual with creative thinking skills
  • Strong project management, analytical, organization and problem solving skills and attention to details
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese

Senior Manager / Manager - Corporate Marketing

Job Description

Support the Head of Corporate Marketing in driving initiatives that enhance the relevance and strategic value of GS1 standards and solutions for industries in Hong Kong. This role will involve conducting comprehensive research on policy initiatives, developing impactful whitepapers, and fostering stakeholder engagement. Additionally, this role will support the planning and implementation of a strategic brand uplift plan to enhance the GS1HK image, ensuring that our brand value is articulated consistently and professionally to government, institutions and industries.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on policy initiatives and cultivate the relevance of GS1 standards and solutions, highlighting their strategic value to industries in Hong Kong.
  • Develop whitepapers, presentation decks, and other communication materials precisely and concisely to facilitate dialogue with government officials, business leaders, industry associations, and the media.
  • Write executive speeches and thought leadership pieces to build the organization's brand and create a strong, trusted image.
  • Initiate and implement media relations plans and programs, including media briefings, one-on-one media interviews for senior management, press releases, and article placements, to ensure GS1HK’s image is represented positively and accurately to the media, target customers, and the industry.
  • Support the marketing communication function by providing guidance and advice to colleagues to achieve the department’s objectives and tasks.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or above in language and Communication, journalism or translation;
  • 5+ years of experience in public policy, corporate development and communication,  or related fields.
  • Experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or government relations
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Proven track record of crafting high-quality speeches and presentations for C-suite executives.
  • Strong project management skills and capable to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, forward-thinking and sound business and industry knowledge.
  • Good media and social connections;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Highly motivated person with creative thinking and flair.
  • Candidate with more experience & qualification will be considered as Senior Manager, Corporate Marketing.

Analyst Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and testing of web applications and support the deployment process.
  • Maintain application systems and ensure web application security and implement best practices.
  • Maintain and upgrade applications in response to business needs or customer requests, such as database version updates.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for new and existing applications.
  • Provide on-site technical support as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1+ year of relevant work experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Docker, database management, and Linux operations.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following backend languages: Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Good command of both English and Chinese.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with K8s (Kubernetes) / Data Analysis is a plus.
