Allan Chan joined City Super Group (CSG) in 2018 as Head, Quality Assurance. He leads a team overseeing the organization’s quality assurance and regulatory compliance functions supporting different business units and channels within the group.

Allan has spent more than 20 years in food industry, working in various quality assurance and regulatory compliance roles for several renowned companies including General Mills, Sainsbury’s, Godiva and Jardine Restaurant Group in Hong Kong and the UK.

He is an experienced quality professional with a proven track record in the production of short life, long life and ambient foods for major retailers, foodservice industry and catering outlets. Experienced in food production, new product development and designing supplier approval program to suit different business needs. He has helped to implement different food safety and quality related program such as supplier approval, regulatory compliance change process, and food safety audit digitalization throughout the years.

Allan graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with Degree in Food Technology and acquired a MBA in Manchester Business School shortly after.

Alex Wong is the Vice President of Supply Chain Management, for the DKSH Group’s FMCG Business Unit, including directly overseeing the operations in North Asia and Malaysia.

For almost 20 years, he has worked across supply chain, from Manufacturing to Planning to Warehousing and Logistics, acquiring comprehensive FMCG industry experiences with British American Tobacco, Procter & Gamble, Glaxo Smith Kline. He also spent time in Strategy and Operations Management Consulting, advising some of the leading global companies including Petronas, FedEx as well as major F&Bplayers such as Coca-Cola and other Beverage / Food manufacturing majors.

Across his career, in his various capacities, Alex developed a strong appreciation and respect of Food Safety and Food Management practices and compliance with the rigorous standards on the industry, from SGS to ISO and GMP. He has brought that into DKSH, and elevated the emphasis and prioritization of developing industry leading food safety and handling practices together with recognized and accredited external partners like GS1.

Alex received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Mr. Keith Wu is the Vice Chairman & CEO of Fulum Group. Mr. Wu is seasoned C-Suite professional with over 25 years of experience in leading financial management, corporate finance, digital transformation, innovation, strategic planning, risk management, procurement and information technology in China and Hong Kong’s consumer sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, restaurant chains.

Mr. Wu is experienced in the food and beverage industry in Hong Kong as evidenced by his work at Tsit Wing International Holdings Ltd. (the shares of which was listed on the Singapore Exchange Limited (T26) until October 2013), which supplies coffee, tea and related grocery items to food establishments in Hong Kong, the PRC and Asia. From July 2005 to May 2021, Mr. Wu was an Executive Director and Group COO of Tsit Wing Group and was responsible to assist its chairman and chief executive officer to formulate corporate strategy for growth and development. Prior to that, he was an accountant of Hong Kong International Terminals Limited which operates a number of ports at the Kwai Chung Terminals, Hong Kong, from April 2001 to June 2004 and practiced as a certified public accountant at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu from June 1997 to July 2000. These past and present positions have given him over twenty-five years of financial and accounting experience.

Mr. Wu received a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the City University of Hong Kong in January 1997 and a master’s degree in corporate governance from of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in October 2009. He was admitted as a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in September 2008 and an associate of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries in April 2010. He has also been a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong since July 2010 and elected associate of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrations in the United Kingdom since April 2010. Mr. Wu’s knowledge and qualification as a Director is also evidenced by his membership in The Hong Kong Institute of Directors since June 2012.

Anna has more than 30 years of CEO experience in steering the strategic direction of the organisation, spearheading major strategic innovative initiatives that have revolutionized the way companies do business locally and globally, helping HK business community thrive.

She has led GS1 Hong Kong to establish platforms, ecosystems and programmes that have driven industry adoption of global supply chain standards, practices and technologies for enhanced business efficiency, digital commerce and IoT development across industries.

Ms Lin attains Chartered Fellow (FCILT), granted by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2018, recognising her achievement and contribution to the industries in Hong Kong.

Ms. May Chung is the General Manager of Nestlé Hong Kong, leading the businesses in Hong Kong and Macau region. May has comprehensive experiences in Consumer Goods Industry. Before joining Nestlé group, May held different local and regional positions in various global corporations. She also worked as a part-time tutor of Master Degree Course module, Strategic Management Issues in Asia Pacific, at Open University of Hong Kong.

May has been actively contributing to the industry. She is currently a Non-official Member of the Hong Kong Government’s Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food, participating to steer the direction and coordinate the work of reducing salt and sugar intake by the local population. In addition, she is the Vice Chairlady of GS1 Hong Kong as well as Chairlady of its Food & Beverage Industry Advisory Board, supporting the organization in advocating various industry-related initiatives. She is also the Vice-President of the Hong Kong Infant and Young Child Nutrition Association and a member of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Women Executives Club.

May received a Master of Science Degree in International Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hon) in Business Studies from University of Strathclyde in United Kingdom and the City University of Hong Kong respectively.

Professor Terence Lau has dedicated over 20 years in technology and entrepreneurial ventures, especially in the research & development and commercialization of innovative products. As the Interim Chief Innovation Officer of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), Professor Lau will strategically drive high-impact research, the translation and transfer of HKBU’s cutting-edge innovations, as well as policy research in innovation and technology overall. He is also a Senior Advisor to the President and Vice-Chancellor and Honorary Professor of the School of Chinese Medicine.

Professor Lau started his career in a renowned Swiss-based multinational company, and was then involved in setting up biotechnology companies and has developed over a hundred products particularly in the area of biotechnology. He returned to the academia in 2013 and worked with various stakeholders to promote high-impact research, their translation and application through bridging the gap in technology readiness between academic inventions and real-life applications. Prior to joining HKBU, he was the Interim Associate Vice President (Innovation and Technology Development) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

In light of his expertise, Professor Lau serves various advisory roles in the industry, government, as well as supranational bodies. He is currently a member of the Advisory Council on Food and Environmental Hygiene and the Expert Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance. He has also served in the Small and Medium Enterprise Committee, and many others related to intellectual properties, innovation and technology development, and food and agricultural development. He is the founder and Chairman of Food Safety Consortium, a charitable organisation which has become the first WHO/FAO Codex Alimentarius NGO observer from China. He has also been appointed as a committee member of the National Technical Committee on Biometrology of China since 2009.

Professor Lau served as Advisor, Adjunct Investigator / Professor in a number of institutions and was a Senior Advisor to United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). He is also the founding Chairman of the Board of the DISH Global Centre for Food Safety & Quality, a non-profit alliance to promote food related collaborations among EU - Hong Kong / China / Asia Pacific. Professor Lau has co-authored a number of peer-reviewed scientific articles and is the co-inventor of a number of patents. He has also co-developed five Chinese National Standards and is the recipient of the Beijing Municipal Technology Award and Chinese Medical and Technological Award. Professor Lau has also been awarded the International Leadership Award by the International Association for Food Protection in the United States in recognition of his contributions to food safety.

Professor Lau graduated from The University of Hong Kong with an honours bachelor of science degree in Animal and Plant Biotechnology and subsequently received scientific training at Indiana University (Bloomington) and Stanford University School of Medicine in the US. He also received his Master of Philosophy degree in Biology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and PhD degree in Physiology from Peking University, China.

Thomas oversees the group supply chain and sustainability strategies across the operations in Hong Kong, Macau, Myanmar, Taiwan and Vietnam of Jardine Restaurant Group. His passion for food and beverage stemmed from his first coffee plantation visit, where he experienced firsthand the devotion of farmers to bringing the best taste from farm to table.

For more than 15 years, Thomas had worked in different capacities in the food and beverage industry across Asia – from business development, operations and marketing to supply chain – all while finding the right balance for the sustainable development of the business and environment.

Prior to joining Jardines, he held various management positions at Pacific Coffee, The Venetian and Café Deco Group. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a connoisseur with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certifications.

Mr. Jeff Law joined Sun Fat Heung Food Products Ltd., which is a Hong Kong-based company established over 60 years, specialized in the manufacturing of soya products, in 1996. He acts as a Director and leads the company, while overseeing the organization’s operations in purchasing raw materials and identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals.

Mr. Law setup a brand “Top Soya” in 2007; Top Soya is dedicated to improving the production technique of soya food and integrating tradition with modern management.

In the period of time, Top Soya had gained ISO 22000:2005 & HACCP management certification. In compliance with international standards, Top Soya has set up a sound food management system with the employment of advanced technology, in an effort to enhance safety and traceability of food products.

Top Soya has over 2,000 points of sales throughout Hong Kong now, covering different sales channels, so as to enable customers to enjoy fresh soya products anytime and anywhere.

Mr. Ling is the CEO of Uni-China Group. James is responsible for the Group’s business development, operations and strategic investment, formulating comprehensive strategies for operational excellence and Group’s development in terms of market share.

Under his leadership, Uni-China Group and its subsidiaries, primarily focusing on the Hong Kong market, run a diverse business model and management portfolio, proficient in creating and maximising both economic and social values, particularly via revitalisation projects.

James has over 20-years extensive experience in corporate management, frontline services and leadership. With his unique vision and eager, James has successfully led the Group to build over 20 private brands with 11 business units. Covering self-operated cultivation, procurement of meat, fresh produce, revitalization of marketplaces, private-label supermarket, F&B services, construction & project management, innovation hub for information & technology, CRM solutions, integrated marketing agencies and fully-automated warehouse with advanced robotics, etc.

Currently, Uni-China has approximately 1,000 directly-operated stores locating in Hong Kong with nearly 5,000 employees, servicing over tens of thousands customers every day. With a tailor-made management system, Uni-China has gained a leading position in the industry.

James has always played the role of an innovator to fight for the rights and interests of the industry. Facing unprecedented events, such as the outbreak of African swine fever and COVID-19, James has called up the code of duties in uniting the stakeholders of Hong Kong and the Mainland, resulting in major breakthroughs with the perseverance and establishing industrial federations.

The set-up of “The Fresh Meat Industry Federation of Hong Kong, China” is highlighted, which serves as a communication bridge connecting the industry with the HKSAR government and the Mainland. James also founded “Hong Kong Industry Makers Association” which brings Hong Kong manufacturing entrepreneurs together. By promoting the sustainable development of the industry and inheriting the spirit of “Made in Hong Kong”, escalating international status and promoting the proud of “Made in Hong Kong”.

James believes in the importance of giving back to society, and is highly committed to contribute towards social and welfare development. Founding the “Hong Kong Market Charity Foundation” in spirit of charitable activities offering helps where needed and creating common values for society.
