【物流業 ESG 發展路線圖】數據收集工具包 — 線上簡介會
We are writing to introduce to all members the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Data Collection Toolkit (hereinafter referred to as the "Toolkit") launched by the Transport and Logistics Bureau. This Toolkit is designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the logistics industry effectively collect and record ESG data in the logistics field that meets international ESG disclosure requirements, supporting relevant enterprises to take the first step in ESG practice smoothly.
As the concept of ESG has become a mainstream global trend in the logistics industry, the Transport and Logistics Bureau officially released the "Logistics Industry ESG Roadmap" (hereinafter referred to as the "Roadmap") in June 2025. It provides a concise and easy-to-understand guide for ESG practice for SMEs in the logistics industry, helping enterprises gradually carry out ESG-related work and further enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry. In view of the difficulties that SMEs in the logistics industry may face in data collection and standard understanding when they first engage in ESG practice, the Bureau clearly proposed in the Roadmap to tailor-make a Toolkit for relevant enterprises, solving their pain points in ESG data collection and recording, and ensuring that the data meets international disclosure requirements.
The Toolkit is available in both Chinese and English bilingual versions, mainly including the following three parts for the flexible use of enterprises:
ESG Data Collection Form in Excel format: Specifically tailored for SMEs in the logistics industry in Hong Kong, helping enterprises establish standardized ESG data recording and collection habits, covering the core data items required by international disclosure;
Data Dictionary: Detailedly explains various data terms in the Data Collection Form, including the definitions, application scopes, data sources, examples and calculation methods of key ESG indicators, assisting enterprises in accurately understanding and filling in data;
User Manual: Clearly provides instructions, operation steps and precautions for using the Data Collection Form and Data Dictionary, ensuring that enterprise employees can get started quickly.
Member enterprises interested in obtaining the Toolkit can register through the ESG Resource Center on the website of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council (URL: http://www.logisticshk.gov.hk/tc/ESG/ESG_collection.php) to get the Toolkit free of charge.
In addition, we would like to invite all members to participate in an online briefing session, which will introduce the core content of the Roadmap and the use of the Toolkit in detail, further improving the ESG awareness of member enterprises and helping them smoothly start their ESG practice journey.
