The Vendor Partner Programme (VPP) aims to drive the growth of our members by bringing together the best-in-class solutions, offered by a list of carefully selected partners. Vendor partners can take advantage of numerous business matching and networking opportunities to co-create success, a win-win situation for all.
Exclusive to our vendor partners, Solution Certification Programme offers extra confidence to business clients and provides an effective way for marketing the technology solutions to potential clients. Please see below for the details.
Partners can enjoy a wide array of marketing promotions and supports by GS1 Hong Kong based on their partner category: Strategic Partner, Industry Solution Partner, Associate Partner.
1) Branding and marketing opportunities
- Vendor partners are entitled to various promotion and marketing of GS1 Hong Kong, including online listing, print and electronic publications, relevant catalogue and exhibition display in occasions where appropriate.
2) Market outreach and business development
- Vendor partners will enjoy unique market outreach and business matching opportunities with GS1 Hong Kong’s members through various events, to develop contacts and expand business to different vertical industries.
3) Instilling Trust, Get Up-to-Date
- Each vendor partner will receive free seats of fundamental training to gain basic knowledge about GS1 standards and specifications, to ensure the Vendor Partners’ solutions are compliant to GS1 standards, adding credibility and reliability. You can keep abreast of the latest standards development, and have the opportunity to join our in-depth training sessions.
How to join
Step 1: Fill in the application form
Prepare a valid Business Registration (BR) Certificate of your company and indicate the partner category you want to join in the form
Step 2: Submit documents
Please email the application form and the copy of BR to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Application for Vendor Partner Programme”. We will send an acknowledgement email to you within 2 working days upon the receipt of the application.
Step 3: Settle payment
Once application is approved, we will issue an invoice of VPP annual fee to you. Please settle the payment by cheque or bank transfer according to the invoice instruction.
All VPP partners will be invited to join different events such as HK IoT Conference, GS1 HK Summit and other industry-related seminars and workshops. Strategic Partners are entitled to organise joint marketing event with GS1 Hong Kong for business networking and matching.
Solution Certification Programme (SCP)
The GS1 Hong Kong Solution Certification Program (SCP) is a software testing service offered by GS1 Hong Kong to check the compliance of software solutions to GS1 Standards and Best Practices. It aims to allow solution provider the affirmation of global standard compatibility and ensure end users’ confidence in such solution which is designed and operated to industry best practices.
A test report accompanying with a certificate issued by GS1 HK will be offered to the applicant once the result fulfills all requirements.
The scope of tests is based on the nature of the solution and varies among different solutions. Please contact us for details.

- GS1 issued SCP certificate
- Option to place solution demo at GS1 HK’s Smart Business Innovation Centre
- Option to join GS1 HK events

- Solution provider must be member of GS1’s Vendor Partner Program (VPP)
- Certification is issued to the solution version submitted. Any changes to the solution must be submitted for certification update
