1.   Warm Welcome:

It was a full house again this year at Golden Miles Holiday Inn gathering more than 400 guests dressed in shining bright costumes. Mr. Glenn Smith, Chairman of Annual Dinner Steering Committee & Senior Member of GS1 HK Board, acknowledged in his Welcome Address the role of GS1 HK as "trusted partner, helping our members navigate and sparkle, no matter in the golden age or the gloomy days.” A brilliant start to a great party!

2.   Stimulating Speech:

Guest of Honour, Mrs Cherry Tse, JP, Permanent Secretary for Food and Health (Food), revealed in her Opening Speech for Hong Kong to sustain its advantage, we must constantly reinvent ourselves and embrace the changes that the future holds. What an inspiring statement that shows the true spirit of Hong Kong and GS1.

3.   Fascinating Time Warp Tunnel:

A number of kiosks offering a nostalgic and future-in-the-making experience for guests, featuring brands of different generations and in the new eras, for example Chicks, Coca Cola, HYone, Kampery, LaRaine, Shiu Heung Yuen, Vitasoy, Wishh!, showcasing both their traditions and innovations on-site. The guests showed profound interest while socialising joyfully.

4.   Congratulations Consumer Caring Companies:

A record-breaking number, 89 local food companies were recognised and awarded with our Consumer Caring Scheme 2017 during the night. Presenting the awards were Guest of Honour, Mrs Cherry TSE,JP, Permanent Secretary for Food and Health (Food), Food and Health Bureau, The Government of HKSAR; Ms. Sabrina Law, Principal Assistant Secretary, Commerce & Economic Development Bureau, The Government of HKSAR; Mr. Allen Yeung, JP, the Government Chief Information Officer, The Government of HKSAR; Dr Hon Elizabeth QUAT BBS, JP, Legislative Councilor; Mr. Shiu Ka Fai, Legislative Councilor (Retail); Mr. Charles Mok, JP, Legislative Councilor (IT) and Mr. Glenn Smith, Chairman of Annual Dinner Steering Committee & Senior Member of GS1 HK Board. What a great honour to have such presenter line-up for a memorable event!

5.   Great Wine

Courtesy of Kampery Development Ltd, a free-flow of red and white wines throughout our cocktail and dinner much to the delight of our guests.

6.   Innovative Games and Abundant Prizes:

The event was loaded with games and prizes generously offered by many of our members’ sponsors. Apart from the more than ten thousands of cash and gift prizes for the Grand Lucky Draw, guests brought home also Table Prizes and Door Prizes. Special thanks to ChaiSengTong Pharmaceutical Factory, Crown Gas Stove and E.P.S.A Corporation for sponsoring the top 3 prizes for the Grand Lucky Draw.

7.   Amazing Entertainment:

Last but not least, Ms Mimi Lo’s stunning performance brought the night to a new climax. All of those present, including GS1 board directors who joined her on stage, will remember vividly this memorable night amid the chimes and blessings for an excellent year of 2018.
