GS1 Hong Kong e-Commerce Highway Seminar Series
Driving a Successful O2O Business : Opportunities and Strategies
Undoubtedly, in China, the biggest eCommerce platforms, like — Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu (BAT) — are leading in the O2O (online-to-offline) space. With a super fragmented brick-and-mortar retail market, it is much easier for these digital giants to build technologies and platforms and offer O2O opportunities to brands and consumers. For example, Giftpass.cn recently launched a campaign enabling users to send a virtual product such as a beer to a friend over WeChat, whilst this virtual gift then can be redeemed for the actual product in a physical restaurant or store. It is a powerful example to drive sales and offline consumption with perfect integration with the social media.
O2O: A New Business Model in Hong Kong
In a city built vertically like Hong Kong, retailers are always limited by space to serve their customers. Online channels help them extend and improve customer experience beyond the physical retail space. Thus, there is also a strong interest in multi-channel strategies, as retailers and brands want to take advantage of the new opportunities O2O that offers. At this insightful half-day seminar, our key speakers will share their expertise for your fast pass to this new O2O era and tap the opportunities created in this O2O tornado.
