Demonstrate the use of IoT alternative data to tackle business challenges in one of the below themes

Smart City

• Create solutions to make a city more efficient, sustainable and livable, tackle challenges such as energy efficiency, transportation, waste management, air quality, public health and safety, and more…

Smart Supply Chain

• Develop solutions to help create a smarter supply chain –inventory management, warehouse & logistics, demand forecasting, workflow, traceability & visibility, sustainability & circularity, risk & resilience, and more…

Participants will have access to technology tools and data sets to address challenges by:

• uncovering patterns
• identifying trends emerging opportunities

*Applicants who complete the IOT Data Hackathon 2024 application form by the "Application deadline" on 31 Dec 2023 and submit a proposal by the 'Initial Submission' on 29 Feb 2024 will receive a "Certificate of Participation".

Streams

• Student Stream: Tertiary students in Hong Kong
• Professional Stream: Startups, Entrepreneurs or Business Professionals in Hong Kong

Remarks: 

• Each team can be formed up to 6 teammates.

• Each teammate is expected to show up at designated venue physically to present their proposal for the hackathon final.

• To avoid conflicts of interest, applications from sponsors' companies will not be accepted.
