The 9^th Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC), Asia’s largest logistics and maritime event jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), has been successfully held on 19-20 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Themed　“Connect and Innovate: Navigating Challenging Times”, this year’s ALMC focused on three key areas – Asian connectivity, e-commerce customer experience, and logistics technology. GS1 HK was honoured to be the co-organiser of the “Supply-chain Management & Logistics Forum 1”.

Hosted by our Principal Consultant, Heidi Ho, the forum focus on the topic of “Driving Supply Chain Innovation with Smart Logistics”, discussing about the emerging trend in international trade, as well as the keys to reshape supply chain and logistics for smarter, more connected business.

She was joined by industry leaders including Supply Chain Director from P&G, Group Director of Information Technology from Kerry Logistics and Head of Blockchain Technology from S.F. Technology. Innovative technologies like digital transformation, smart logistics and blockchain application were discussed.

In addition, GS1 HK has also showcased a portfolio of supply chain-related solutions and services at booth no: 3FG-33, demonstrating how GS1 standards-based solutions drive end-to-end supply chain visibility with data intelligence. Various industry experts and practitioners visited the booth for idea exchange.
