Overview

Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce - The Digital, Information & Telecommunications Committee and Shipping & Transport Committee present a roundtable luncheon on:

Capturing e-commerce opportunities through supply chain modernization

Digital technology has changed the way brands and marketers communicate with their customers. These changes are so profound that they have totally reshaped the traditional business landscape. The maxim of embracing changes or run the risk of being left behind could not be more apt in this day and age. A recent successful example of doing business in cyberspace is Giftpass.cn's range of virtual products, including virtual beers, for WeChat users, who can send a bottle of virtual beer as a gift to their friends to redeem and enjoy at designated restaurants / shops anytime they like. The potential business opportunities offered through creative O2O business models are huge as businesses begin to tap into social media for such activities as product launches, marketing and sales promotion.

The Chamber has invited Mr. KK Suen, Chief Architect and Principal Consultant, GS1 Hong Kong, to share with members how a traditional supply chain can be modernized to assist companies in capturing e-commerce opportunities and boosting sales via a seamless customer journey.
