GS1 HK Summit 2017 was successfully held on 7 November. GS1 HK Summit 2017 Ended on a High Note
Singles’ Day has become the most popular online shopping festivals for Hong Kong consumers (37%), according to the newly published “Outlook for E-commerce in Hong Kong” report issued by GS1 Hong Kong and KPMG China. Cyber Monday, Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day followed by a distant 15% to 16%, so no wonder two-third of CEOs are looking at online earnings contributing up to 20 percent of their companies revenue in the coming year.
The survey results were unveiled at the GS1 Hong Kong Summit held on 7 November. Themed “Business Transformation for Customer Centricity”, the Summit brought together over 600 delegates, to explore on fourth retail revolution, omni-channel business strategies, serving consumers in the new millennium, innovative technology for value creation, e-commerce best practice and many more.
Mr. Joseph Lai, Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport), HKSAR Government attended as Guest of Honour and spoke about Hong Kong’s role as a global centre for trade, finance, business, affirming again the integral role of supply chain in fostering HK economic growth. The audience also gained insights from a total of 4 plenary sessions and 12 presentations, delivered by renowned speakers from both the government and MNCs.
