Environment and Conservation Fund: "Green Product Packaging Workshop" of Product Package Recycling Programme
The "Product Packaging Recycling Programme"* (the Programme), funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund and organised by GS1 HK, aims to promote the recycling of community waste and reuse of packaging materials to reduce waste.
The first workshop under the Program will explore how to design product packaging that conforms to environmentally friendly principles for reducing the consumption of paper and plastics, reducing carbon emissions and shipping costs by minimising packaging volume, which ultimately drives the green transformation of the industry. Besides, the Programme provides tips to consumers for identifying products with environmentally friendly packaging and reducing waste at the source by waste separation.
We invite all citizens and companies who are concerned about environmental protection to join the workshop. Brands and suppliers that use environmentally friendly packaging on their products can even display their products for free at the exhibitor booth to promote their items for enhance consumers' awareness of environmental protection and recycling.
