Overview

Healthcare systems around the globe are facing challenges that affect the entire supply chain, from pharmaceutical to medical device suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, to group purchasing organisations and healthcare service providers. Everyone is concerned primarily about two main issues: increasing supply chain efficiency and more importantly, ensuring patient safety.

Today's Healthcare Landscape

The regulatory landscape continues to evolve and new regulations have a direct impact on the healthcare supply chain, requiring stakeholders to implement automatic identification technologies, electronic product catalogues, serialization (a unique serial number on each package or product, where appropriate) and/or traceability systems.

Concerns on patient safety and the rapidly escalating healthcare costs have called for authorities and all stakeholders to take action to address the CHALLENGES:

  • Ensuring the safety of patients and healthcare professionals
  • Enabling effective product recalls, adverse event reporting and post market surveillance
  • Increasing supply chain security and minimising counterfeiting risk
  • Facilitating treatment documentation in Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR)
  • Optimising production and packaging processes in a global supply chain
  • Optimising supply chain management, including logistics, procurement, stock and asset management processes

Join this workshop now to learn more about the DOs and DON’Ts in healthcare supply chain system and the success factors in uplifting the traceability.
