“Knowledge Sharing of Hong Kong Food Supply Chain Best Practices”, a project organized by the Hong Kong Food Council, implemented by GS1 Hong Kong with the Trade and Industry Department’s funding, has been launched to provide updated information about supply chain best practices to the local food sector. A series of seminars, workshops and a regional forum with the participation of renowned food experts and related organizations has been lined up for the project. Overall, these activities aim to provide a platform for discussion and sharing to raise stakeholder awareness of pressing industry concerns and equip them with the knowledge and expertise to overcome these issues effectively. Recommendations, ideas and guidelines will also be raised to help promote responsible, ethical food delivery and greater visibility and traceability of food supply chain management from farm to fork, so as to streamline supply chain process and achieve efficient market response.
5th seminar themed on Safe Food Supply will be held on 11 March, in which food industry stakeholders will share the most up-to-date knowledge on food supply chain best practices and guidelines for action, so as to enhance industry's capability on food quality and safety management.
