A governmental organisation pointed out that under the trend of Industry 4.0, Hong Kong manufacturers must follow suit, regardless of the scale of the implementation.

To put it simple, Industry 4.0 refers to the digitalisation and automation of operations with technologies such as the Internet of Things. Enterprises can obtain real-time data for analysis and adjust the operation flexibly in response to operating conditions. The government has introduced different subsidies to encourage corporate trainings for employees and the establishment of new smart production lines.
