
GS1 Hong Kong Summit 2019 - Smart Business: Creating, Connecting, Collaborating (Completed)
Stepped into its 19th edition, the annual Summit brings together the best, from C-level executive, industry pioneers and influencers from Hong Kong and Asia Pacific, to exchange ideas and discuss the latest topic and concerns surrounding the omni-channel and overall supply chain efficiency.
GS1 HK Summit 2019 Concluded on a High Note
Coinciding with our 30th Anniversary Week, GS1 HK Summit, themed “Smart Business – Creating, Connecting, Collaborating”, concluded on a high note with numerous insightful discussions, networking and ideas exchange. More than 25 speakers shared their collective wisdom on the integration of smart technologies, new operation process and business strategies that create an enhanced consumer journey and strengthen business connectivity.
Dr. Raymond So, BBS, JP, Under Secretary for Transport and Housing, inaugurated the Summit as the Guest of Honour and delivered the opening address. He emphasised the importance of information connectivity along the supply chain to maintain Hong Kong’s position as Asia’s premium logistics hub.
The Summit also saw the survey result announcement of “Digital Retail on the Rise” report, revealing that over half of surveyed consumers in Hong Kong identified themselves as “tech-savvy”, with their major activities being managing financial online. Digitisation brings in massive amount of data, and how to leverage data to create consumer-centric experience and strengthen business connectivity are often challenges to businesses. Industry pioneers shared their innovative cases and strategies ranging from building a digital ecosystem, shaping the “cultural retail” concept, to renewing supply chain connectivity. Delegates were inspired by the diverse topics discussed.
The Summit was completed by a brand new session “Board Forum: Innovating, Transforming, Sustaining”, where long-standing and new brands gathered and shared their “journey of innovation” to win the heart of consumers.
